A friend of mine has been writing music for many, many years.
He plays guitar, bass guitar, and I don't know what else.
His name is John Puerta, and here are some samples of his work.

Historical Note:
Recording piano music in the 1890's was not so dependable
because of limited sensitivity of equipment.
Band music came across much better.

Using MPEG 1 Level 3 (MP3) encoding, a 40Mbyte WAV file, sampled at 44.1kHz, can be reduced to about 4Mbytes,
with an almost undectable loss in sample quality.
