Our
Home Is Our Hassle
The
third episode finds Benita Bizarre listening to Peter Platter at KOOK radio
as he announces a contest. The winner gets to sing his/her song on
the air. Thinking this is her big chance, Benita begins to rack her
brain to come up with a song.
Meanwhile,
Sparky awakes to find himself alone and begins to panic, but soon the Bugaloos
arrive back after taking the Bugaloo Buggy "for ah 'lit-'el spin" and put
his mind at ease by singing. Back at Benita's Jukebox Penthouse,
Benita has been totally uninspired and begins berating her "tone-deaf weirdos."
As Funky Rat retreats from Benita's advances, he accidentally turns on
the Sound Radar and the foursome hear the Bugaloos' singing coming
from Tranquility Forest. An idea forms in Benita's mind - The Bugaloos
must get their inspiration from the Forest! Needless to say, she
heads their way.
After
reaching Tranquility Forest, Benita and her gang quickly make a mess, throwing
trash in the river and starting a fire. Sparky is wandering through
the Forest, singing to himself, "I'm not afraid to be alone," when he stumbles
on their campsite. Thinking the Bugaloos have sent him to spy, Benita
yells for Funky, Woofer, and Tweeter to "Grab him!" but Sparky escapes.
Back at the Bugaloos' clearing, Sparky tells what happened to him, stretching
his tale quite a bit in the process. BlueBell Flower and the Grapes
alert the Bugaloos to the fire and the boys quickly take action.
After dousing the fire from above, the boys are understandably defensive
and let Benita know that "fires are a big fat no-no." In response
to their request for her to leave, Benita gives them a present - she zaps
them!
As
Joy and Sparky anxiously await the boys return, BlueBell Flower and the
Grapes alert them that Benita is coming! Joy realizes something must
have happened to the boys and hurries off to look for them. Finding
the boys unconscious, she believes "there's one chance in a million to
save the boys," - she must unzap them! Joy sneaks back to the clearing
to find Benita has taken over Harmony's organ and is loudly, uh, singing.
Joy quietly gets the Stereo Zapper and heads back to the boys. She
successfully revives them and as they try to figure out how to remove Benita
and her gang from the Forest, Sparky unwittedly provides the answer.
The
Bugaloos disguise themselves as ghosts and wait for nightfall. Then,
they begin their haunting. Fearing Funky zapped the Bugaloos into
oblivion, Benita and her gang flee Tranquility Forest.
