THE HARNESSES HURT

The harnesses aren't too bad when the guys are walking about on the ground, but when they are picked up by the wires the harnesses cut into and rub around their waists and legs and are quite uncomfortable.  When they are flying, the entire weight of their bodies is placed on their stomachs and the front of their legs.

For Caroline it's a different matter.  The skirt of her costume is too short and wouldn't conceal the harness.  So, she has to lie across a swing-like thing which isn't as uncomfortable as the boy's harnesses, but is a little more precarious to stay on.

  LUNCH IS A TREAT
It seems like they've been hanging around up there for days when the director calls "Lunch."  When they go over to the Paramount commissary for lunch, they take off their harnesses and leave the antennas on.  But around here no one pays much attention.  People who work at studios are used to seeing some pretty strange sights.

Lunch can be quite a treat here, even if the food isn't too great, because of the people you can run into.  In addition to the Bugaloos, there's always a chance that you'll see some of "The Brady Bunch" or "The Mod Squad" cast.  And, "The Lucy Show" and "Mission: Impossible" are also shot there, so there's no end of stars around.

After lunch it's back to the air for the Bugaloos, and you get to sit around and watch.  Now you're beginning to notice little things - like the word "Love" drawn on the back of Caroline's chair, and the fact that the record player in the boy's dressing room has been playing the same record all day - "You're Not Living 'Til You're Loving."

And before you know it, the day is over and it's time to quit.  The boys are glad the day's over and they can take those harnesses off, but they're glad you were able to come down and watch.

As you say farewell to the Bugaloos, you can't help but think what nice people they are and what a beautiful day it's been.  And, as you walk back down towards the Windsor gate, you kind of wish you could live in Tranquility and fly too.
