 UPUP...AND AWAY WITH THE BUGALOOS!!! Meet Big John McIndoe! Big John McIndoe of the Bugaloos is a well-traveled guy. Although he's only 22, he's already done many things and seen many lands. Born February 3, 1948, in Edinburgh, Scotland, he grew up in the circus. His parents had a trapeze act and he helped them out and also worked as a clown, ring boy, or whatever was needed. He learned about the joys of entertaining early in life and has had it in his blood ever since. In his teens he wandered down to London and promptly joined a pop music group. He spent over four months in Sweden with them before returning to London. This time his luck wasn't quite as good and he ended up working odd jobs as an elevator operator, milk boy, and even road manager to other pop groups. But now he's a Bugaloo and America is his latest home. He's a friendly, casual sort of chap who looks deep into your eyes when he's talking to you, especially about his favorite topic - girls! "I've traveled quite a bit," he explains in that strangely mixed accent, "and girls are about the same everywhere. But they do seem to grow up faster here in America. For myself, I like most girls but I guess the ones who turn me on the most are nice, pleasant girls with long blonde hair. I like long blonde hair. And the only thing that really turns me off is girls who talk too much." Big John's spent a lot of time admiring girls and he says he likes just about all different types of fashions for girls. He even likes the midi, if it looks good on the girl. Next to girls, the things he likes most are antique cameras and music. Music seems to surround him constantly. There always seems to be a radio or record player blasting away when John's around. And even if there isn't, he's likely to be singing or humming softly to himself. He's a
self-taught
musician who plays guitar and sings. His big goal now is to help
the Bugaloos attain their own sound, different from any other
group.
But somehow, you get the feeling that no matter what he does, he will
succeed.
And if the Bugaloos don't go on for years and years, he'll just wander
off into something else. He's a wandering, free kind of
